New information: Line closure Rhine Valley Route

According to yesterday's report on the anticipated re-start of the Rhine valley route on 7 October, Kombiverkehr continues to be in daily exchange with the participating railways and operators in order to maintain the affected train products. Furthermore, all route alternatives via France, Singen and the Brenner cooridor are extensively tested and, if possible, realized. Due to construction works, however, there are currently also restrictions in train traffic on the Brenner corridor. In addition, border controls, due to the refugee situation, are currently exacerbating the operation of the trains via Brenner. Please note that this will lead to a massive reduction in the capacities of our trains Germany - Switzerland and Germany - Italy via Switzerland.

Cologne / Wuppertal - Basel v.v.
The diversion route which is suitable for these relations has unfortunately not been shown as a viable alternative in other transports. Kombiverkehr will therefore not offer these relations until the restarting of the Rhine valley route. Currently a spare traffic between Cologne-Eifeltor and Karlsruhe will be checked.
Hamburg - Basel v.v.
The diversion route which is suitable for this relation has also not been shown as a viable alternative in other transports. Kombiverkehr will therefore not offer this relation until the restarting of the Rhine valley route. Shipments to Basel and / or Hamburg can be transported alternatively to and from Karlsruhe. For this purpose, Kombiverkehr has already reactivated the special timetable scheme for the summer and holiday season. Due to this, Kombiverkehr offers an additional train departure in each direction in week 34. The additional trains run today from Hamburg and from Karlsruhe tomorrow.
Beginning in week 35 there are four weekly round trips between Hamburg and Karlsruhe, from week 36 onwards, after ending of the schedule for the summer and holiday season, lasting five round trips. In addition to that trains, Kombiverkehr plans to launch special trains on the Hamburg - Karlsruhe relation starting in week KW 35 onwards. A corresponding information on this is provided in the event of possible implementation in the short term.
Cologne - CH-Aarau / Rothrist / Birrfeld v.v.
The production planning for this train product is made by our partner company HUPAC. We will inform you about the planned trains by e-mail. Please note that scheduling of trains is only possible on a daily basis.
Germany (Duisburg, Hamburg, Hannover and Cologne) - Italy via Gotthard v.v.
