New continental train service Nuremberg – Rotterdam v.v.

(Frankfurt/Main, 17 January 2022) Right at the start of the year, Frankfurt-based Kombiverkehr KG is expanding its portfolio of intermodal transport products to and from Rotterdam. A new continental service between Nuremberg's TriCon Terminal and Rotterdam Cobelfret has been added to the 2022 timetable for the transport of semitrailers, containers and swap bodies. This is the first time that the C.Ro-operated Cobelfret terminal has been a part of Kombiverkehr's international network, joining the RSC and CTT terminals in Rotterdam. The Kombiverkehr train from Nuremberg to Rotterdam Cobelfret is a service operated in partnership with TFG Transfracht and runs five days a week, Mondays to Fridays in both directions. The first train heading for Rotterdam departed the TriCon Container Terminal in Nuremberg on 13 January 2022, going in the opposite direction one day later on 14 January. Shipping line CLdN Cobelfret SA runs ferry services from the ferry terminal in Rotterdam to destination ports in London, Dublin and Killingholme.

The new Cobelfret product and the attractive closing times for acceptance and start times for unloading also enable us to deliver on our goal of offering end-to-end UK services."

The new intermodal service to Rotterdam Cobelfret now makes it possible to send trailers all the way to the UK from Nuremberg's TriCon Terminal on the intermodal network of Kombiverkehr KG.
