Rotterdam Europoort P&O added to the international product range
12/21/2020

With the addition of the Rotterdam Europoort P&O terminal, Kombiverkehr has once again increased the intermodal options by truck and rail in services to and from the Netherlands. In addition to Rotterdam's maritime APM, Euromax, RWG, Kramer and ECT Delta Terminal sites with their deep-sea connections, there are now also three facilities offering useful short-sea connections in the form of Moerdijk Container Terminals, the Rail Service Center in Rotterdam and the newly linked Europoort P&O terminal. Having been added to the eu.NETdirekt+ network, the Rotterdam Europoort terminal will be served four times a week in each direction to and from Duisburg Ruhrort Hafen DUSS, from where there are numerous gateway links to national and European commercial centres.

The new connection to the Europoort P&O terminal in the Port of Rotterdam offers an efficient, end-to-end product that also covers shipments destined for or originating in Great Britain. Even if it comes to a possible hard Brexit, the new product can be the essential transport alternative for many hauliers if long queues build up on the road at entry and exit points into and out of the European Union. Key port connections from Europoort to the east coast of Britain – Harwich, Killingholme, Teesport and Hull – are offered in collaboration with P&O Ferries and Stena Line.
