(Melzo/Frankfurt am Main, 6. January 2023) We are excited to announce that Sogemar and Kombiverkehr have entered into a partnership. As part of this partnership, Kombiverkehr has acquired a 10 percent stake in Rail Hub Milano (RHM), one of Italy's most important intermodal rail hubs.
This strategic acquisition will enable Kombiverkehr to further expand its rail network in Europe and strengthen its position as one of the major players in the region. With this acquisition, Kombiverkehr will have access to a state-of-the-art rail terminal with a capacity of 300,000 units per year, as well as a network of rail connections to major ports and industrial centres in Italy and beyond.
Sogemar (ContshipItalia Group), will retain a 90 percent stake in RHM. This partnership will bring together the expertise and resources of both companies, creating a strong foundation for the future growth and success of the Rail Hub Milano.
