Shareholders' meeting: Kombiverkehr presents annual results 2016, limited partners elect new Administrative Board
07/14/2017
This year's meeting of Kombiverkehr shareholders was held on 28 June 2017. Among other things, the event focused as usual on the adoption of the annual financial statements and the growth in traffic.

Kombiverkehr chalked up an increase in consignments in both the national and international networks in 2016, thus consolidating its position as Europe's market leader in Combined Transport. Transport volumes grew to 985,424 consignments, an increase of 0.7 per cent on the previous year. The sales revenues of Kombiverkehr amounted to 450.2 million euros.

The previous year's record result on the cross-border services in the international eu.NETdirekt+ network, including traffic with northern Europe and the Baltic states via the German Baltic Sea ports, was surpassed once again. In bilateral transport between Germany and more than 30 European countries, the Frankfurt-based company transported a total of 782,497 truckloads (1.56 million TEU), which represents an increase of 6,105 truckloads or 0.8 per cent. In particular, transport services to and from Scandinavia made an above-average contribution to this positive result. The rising demand for rail services via the fixed link and to and from the seaports of Kiel, Lübeck and Rostock led to increased forwarding volumes in this market segment, up by a substantial 27.1 per cent to 131,647 consignments. Kombiverkehr KG also chalked up an increase in consignments in national transport, with 202,927 truckloads.

When casting their votes for the Administrative Board, the limited partners of Kombiverkehr signalled their approval of the work done by the existing Board members. The following people are thus appointed to represent the partners on the Administrative Board for the next three years: Carsten Hemme (Paneuropa-Rösch, Vechta), Thomas Hoyer (Hoyer, Hamburg), Dr. h.c. Michael Kubenz (Kube & Kubenz, Hamburg), Hermann Lanfer (Lanfer Transporte, Meppen), Werner Löblein (Löblein Transport, Schillingsfürst), Johannes Röhr (Anton Röhr, Rietberg-Mastholte) and Gudrun Winner-Athens (Winner Spedition, Iserlohn). Deutsche Bahn AG, Berlin, which is required under the articles of association to send two representatives to the Administrative Board, will in future be represented by Michael Anslinger and Raimund Stüer. At its constitutive meeting the members of the Administrative Board again confirmed Gudrun Winner-Athens as chairman. The deputy chairman is Raimund Stüer.
