Katy Wroclawskie and Polish ports of Gdynia and Gdansk now connected to Germany – Poland direct train
05/14/2019
Kombiverkehr has expanded the direct train between the DUSS terminal in Duisburg and Swarzedz in
Poland, which was only launched in January 2019, with a key connecting service. As of now,
intermodal rail transport into the south of Poland to and from Katy Wroclawskie and to the ports of
Gdynia and Gdansk in the north of the country is available from the CLIP terminal, which is located
about ten kilometres east of Poznan. From Poznan there are also connections to the PKP Cargo
Connect terminal in Warsaw Praga in end-to-end gateway services.

The journey time of the rail transports from the closing time for acceptance to the start of pick-up
varies between two and five days, depending on the destination terminal and the day of departure. On Mondays, for instance, Katy Wroclawskie can be reached from Duisburg in just two days, while
forwarders can connect to the Polish ports in three days. At the Duisburg-Ruhrort Hafen DUSS
gateway terminal containers, swap bodies and semitrailers can be transferred to various block trains
on national and international services.

As well as connections to and from Rotterdam, Moerdijk and Antwerp, there is also a fast service to
Lyon in France. In Germany, Hamburg, Ludwigshafen and Munich are linked with Duisburg. Detailed
timetable information can be found at www.kombiverkehr.de/en/home > Transport > Online timetable.
