Kombiverkehr is strengthening its commitment to Scandinavia services via the fixed link. Since 3 September 2018 there have been three rather than the previous two shuttle trains running directly between Coevorden in the Netherlands or Bad Bentheim and the Mertz terminal in Malmö. The direct train between Lübeck and Stockholm, which likewise uses the Öresund bridge and which Kombiverkehr has been operating exclusively as a company train for a forwarder specialising in commercial logistics, has been available to other forwarders and logistics companies as a regular timetabled service since mid-September. At the same time, the frequency of services has risen from three to five departures a week in each direction.
