Björn Saschenbrecker becomes head of Business Development at Kombiverkehr KG and managing director of Europe Intermodal Istanbul

(Frankfurt/Main, 2 August 2022) On 1 August 2022 Frankfurt-based Kombiverkehr KG expanded its organisational structure with a new Business Development department, which is now headed by Björn Saschenbrecker (41). In his new role Saschenbrecker will initiate and support strategic projects with the aim of further expanding Kombiverkehr’s network. In the new organisational unit Kombiverkehr is also establishing an important link between the sales side and the development of digital service products for new and existing customers of the company.

Alongside heading Business Development, Saschenbrecker is also becoming managing director of Istanbul-based subsidiary Europe Intermodal. Together with his co-managing director Pulat Erginbas, Saschenbrecker is to deliver a sustained expansion of the range of products to and from Turkey. The aim is to leverage the existing growth potential on this key transport corridor for Kombiverkehr and intensify sales to Turkish forwarders and logistics companies even further with new business models. Founded in 2007, Europe Intermodal was one of the first CT operators in Turkey and, together with Kombiverkehr KG, organises current transport services between central Europe and Halkali, Pendik, Haydarpasa, Mersin and Cesme.



Björn Saschenbrecker (41) has been head of Business Development at Kombiverkehr KG and managing director of Europe Intermodal Istanbul since 1 August 2022.
