(Frankfurt/Main, 16 March 2020) Despite the further spread of the corona epidemic in all European countries, the intermodal services offered by Kombiverkehr KG, in which truck, rail and ship complement each other to form an extremely efficient and safe transport chain, can currently be used to the full by freight forwarders and logistics companies. There are currently no restrictions whatsoever on the range of services within Germany or on the bilateral connections between around 30 European countries. All trains run according to the timetable. This also applies to the more than 110 trains per week in Italy, which the company offers in particular via the Brenner Pass.

Kombiverkehr is in daily contact with all the companies involved in the transport chain, such as rail transport companies, terminal and network operators, in order to keep abreast of developments in the individual transport offers. The aim is also to be able to provide immediate alternative services as soon as any disruption to operations on the route or at the dispatch and reception terminals becomes known.
