With dedicated routes for express goods, Kombiverkehr enables even particularly urgent shipments
to be transported by eco-friendly rail in a new network.
The de.NETexpress stands for:
- Fast trains up to 140 km/h and short journey times
- Synchronised delivery and collection in Combined Transport terminals
- Continuous train tracking and proactive information management
The time slots for express transport are particularly tight. Parcel and general cargo services with a guaranteed time of delivery are closely synchronised and must be highly reliable. Kombiverkehr, Europe's
number 1 intermodal transport operator, has laid the foundation stone for de.NETexpress to enable this kind of freight to be switched mainly to rail. This is backed up by 140 km/h trains, precise delivery and collection times in the terminals and a transparent tracking and tracing system with proactive information management. The coordinated teamwork of all those involved in the transport process produces new solutions for consignments that used to rely entirely on trucks.
The first regular services from de.NETexpress provide a link between Hamburg and Kornwestheim, Munich and Nuremberg. Transit times on these routes are consistently reliable enough to allow express freight consignments to use Combined Transport, thus reducing the impact of harmful CO2 emissions on the environment.
