Eastern and southeastern Europe
Kombiverkehr offers a network between Germany and eastern and southeastern Europe that boasts more than 100 block and direct trains per week. Neuss, Duisburg, Hamburg, Ludwigshafen and Munich are the interfaces between the de.NETdirect+ and the hubs of Wels, Budapest-Bilk and Ljubljana. These key hub terminals offer direct links to the networks of our partner companies as well as forwarding options within Austria and Hungary and from and to Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia and Turkey
In the direct connection Duisburg/Hamburg-Lovosice v.v., Kombiverkehr has developed a product that links Duisburg and Hamburg to the Lovosice terminal in the Czech Republic. Further important economic regions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia can be reached via satellite routes.
Poland is becoming increasingly to the fore as Germany’s most important trading partner within the MOE states and as a transit country for transports heading towards the CIS. We set up the link between the ports of Antwerp / Rotterdam and our block train between Duisburg and the Polish terminals in Gliwice, Gadki (Poznan) and Pruszków (Warsaw) in response to this economic trend.
Since the beginning of March 2011 Kombiverkehr has for the first time offered connections from Rostock, Neuss, Duisburg and Ludwigshafen to the Railport Arad terminal in Curtici/Romania as well as to Thessaloniki in northern Greece. The Wels hub in Upper Austria is used to ensure the efficient bundling of the relevant consignment flows.
