01/08/2024
  • Five round trips per week between Munich-Riem and the port of Trieste since the beginning of the year

  • Onward connections by ferry or in the European direct train network

(Frankfurt/Main, 8 January 2024) Kombiverkehr KG has been offering its freight forwarding and logistics customers greater flexibility in the scheduling of their intermodal transports with Turkey and Greece since the beginning of January. The company increased the departure frequency on the Munich - Trieste v.v. route from three to five weekly round trips. The new departure days are Wednesdays and Fridays from Munich and Tuesdays and Thursdays from the Trieste terminal, which is operated by Samer Seaports & Terminals (Samer Group). From the port of Trieste, the port terminals of Pendik, Mersin and Cesme in Turkey as well as Patras in Greece can be reached by ferry via continuous bookings in a one-stop shop procedure. Further connecting services are available from Munich-Riem both within Germany and to and from various terminals in Benelux, the UK, Poland, Norway and Sweden. The transport of hazardous goods is possible. The only exceptions are class 1 and 7 dangerous goods, and there are no restrictions on loading unit profiles. This means that trailers with a P400 profile are also permitted on all routes.
